We are excited to be attending Handmade Oxford, another wonderful event from the Handmade in Britain team at the beautiful Waterperry Gardens in Oxford. This festival of contemporary crafts runs from 23rd until 26th June and promises;
"a packed programme of fun workshops, live, craft demonstrations, browsing and shopping for unique handmade gifts, and discovering sustainable products in a new eco-living section. Plus, discover delicious artisan food and drinks with a chance to try and test treats before purchase."
We are delighted to be collaborating with Ossian Knitwear on a slow living section to showcase businesses who all have sustainability at the heart of what they do. Ossian Knitwear is designed using sustainable, locally sourced wools from ancient and heritage breed sheep.
We're looking forward to talking all about linen and its journey from "Farm to Fibre". Visitors can learn about sustainable flax growing and processing and we'll be inviting people to have a go at breaking, scutching and heckling flax by hand.
